The Sound Exchange Project – Performance in Taiwan

Hi everyone,

My piece, Collapse for string quartet, will be played this Thursday, May 12th 2011, at National Taiwan Normal University!  This is part of the Sound Exchange Project, in which students of different universities send representative students compositions, to be performed at the other university.

“The Sound Exchange is a unique student initiated project to promote a musical and cultural dialogue of new musical trends and ideas between student composers in an academic and informal setting”

Our end of the project culminated in a short, free concert given yesterday at the UIUC Music Building Auditorium.  The concert in Taiwan will be given on Thursday, May 12th 2011.  I will post the recording as soon as it is in my hands.  Take care everyone!

Small update!

Hi all,

I just fixed up all the broken links on my Listen page.  You should now be able to stream and/or download recordings easily.  I just signed up on SoundCloud.com and it’s just fantastic!  I’d highly recommend it for hosting music- it’s free and easy to use.  Take care!
